In Sanskrit, chakra means “wheel” or “circle” which is often pictured as a spinning vortex. The seven major chakras are traditionally colored and lined up from the base of the spine (1st) to the top of the head (7th). They may also be seen as information centers. All significant events and experiences are recorded and stored in the appropriate chakra according to the issue involved.
